Prospect Zach Fucale Traded to the Remparts


Top goalie prospect Zach Fucale was sent from the Mooseheads to the Quebec Remparts along with Matt Murphy and a 2015 5th round pick in exchange for goalie Eric Brassard and a load of picks (1st and 3rd in 2016 as well as a 1st and 2nd in 2018) Also as a part of this deal the Mooseheads will send the 2018 2nd back to the Remparts and receive d-man Cody Donaghey at this summers draft.

The Remparts host the 2015 Memorial Cup giving Fucale and Murphy the chance to win a 2nd CHL title. Fucale and Murphy along with the Avalanche’s Nathan McKinnon and the Lightning’s Jonathan Drouin were key pieces of the Mooseheads team that took the title in 2013.

For now Fucale will focus on securing the starting position in net for Canada at the World Juniors.
