With the Olympic rosters being announced, Slovakia goes with some familiar faces to Canadiens fans. In goal, they have current back up goalie Peter Budaj as well as former netminder and playoff hero, Jaroslav Halak. In addition, ex-Hab Marcel Hossa, brother to Marian, will be suiting up for Slovakia also.

Budaj, 31, has represented his country since the WJC-18 tournament where he played in 5 games, recording a 3.13 GAA and .932 save percentage. He has been invited to the last two Olympic games and will be heading to his third. Budaj did not participate in Vancouver in 2010 as he was the 3rd goal but in 2006 in Torino he played in 3 games with 2.01 GAA and .924 save percentage.

For the 2014 Olympics, it would be a good guess to have Halak filling the number one slot for Slovakia but Budaj services as a good back up and has a great attitude that comes with his role.

Here is the full roster for Slovakia:
Goalies: Peter Budaj (Montreal), Jaroslav Halak (St. Louis) and Jan Loco (Donetsk)
Defense: Ivan Baranka (Omsk), Dominik Granak (Moscow), Michal Sersen (Bratislava), Lubomir Visnovsky (New York), Andrej Sekera (Carolina), Andrej Meszaros (Philadelphia), Martin Marincin (Edmonton) and Zdeno Chara (Boston)
Forwards: Milan Bartovic (Bratislava), Michel Miklik (Bratislava), Peter Ölvecky (Bratislava), Marian Gaborik (Columbus), Michal Handzus (Chicago), Marian Hossa (Chicago), Tomas Zaborsky (Ufa), Tomas Surovy (Minsk), Tomas Marcinko (Kosice), Richard Panik (Tampa Bay), Tomas Tatar (Detroit), Tomas Jurco (Detroit), Tomas Kopecky (Florida) and Marcel Hossa (Riga)
