Habs Sign Tom Parisi to 2-Year Deal

Earlier on Saturday morning, the Montreal Canadiens have signed left-shot defenceman Tom Parisi to a two-year/two-way deal.

Tom Parisi, an undrafted defenceman, has spent the last four years playing college hockey in the NCAA with Providence College, including being appointed captain of the team in his senior year during the 2015-16 season.

Many will recognize Parisi around the organization as he participated in the Habs' 2015
development camp over the summer.

With a record of 27-7-4 this season, Providence College is a "1" seed in the Northeast
Regionals of the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. Unfortunately for Providence,
they were upset on Friday night by "4" seed University of Minnesota-Duluth by a 2-1 score
in double overtime.
