Brendan Gallagher recorded his 100th career National Hockey League point tonight against theĀ Florida Panthers. This impressive milestone in the young 22-year old’s career came in an outstanding 183 games since being drafted in the 5th round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Despite being the 147th selection at the 2010 draft at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Gallagher places 9th among his entire draft class in points. Every player in front of him were drafted in the first two rounds, and have played more games with the exception of one. Below are a list of the top ten players from the 2010 NHL Draft class in points:

  7. Jaden Schwartz (St. Louis): 1st Round / 14th Overall – 116 points in 182 games.
  8. Justin Faulk (Carolina): 2nd Round / 37th Overall – 104 points in 236 games.
  9. Brendan Gallagher (Montreal): 5th Round / 147th Overall – 100 points in 183 games.

Brendan Gallagher scored the first goal of the February 19th, 2015 match at the Bell Centre against the Florida Panthers. Gallagher’s goal came at 2:31 of the second period, to open the scoring assisted by Max Pacioretty and David Desharnais. With his 14th goal of the season, Gallagher is now 4th among all Habs this season in goals, 7th on the team in assists (17), and 7th on the team in points (31).

Congratulations to our very own Brendan Gallagher who despite being selected 147th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, became the 9th player in his draft class to hit triple digits!
