10 Questions With: Bulldogs Kyle Hagel

On July 6th, 2012, Montreal Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin announced the signing of Hamilton native, Kyle Hagel to a one-year AHL contract. Hagel previously played for Rochester, Rockford and Peoria of the AHL before heading back to his hometown. I was able to catch up with Kyle and ask him a few questions:

Q1. Favourite NHL team growing up?

A1. St.Louis Blues.

Q2. Favourite NHL player growing up?

A2. Brett Hull.

Q3. Where did you play junior hockey?

A3. Played for the Hamilton Kilty Bees and the Hamilton Red Wings.

Q4. Most influential person in your career and why?

A4. My Dad, without him I never would have played hockey and he has been there for the whole ride.

Q5. What is your favourite hockey memory?

A5. When I played in my first NHL preseason game last season at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas.

Q6. What is your favourite sport other than hockey?

A6. Lacrosse.

Q7. Something about you nobody would know?

A7. I walk to the rink everyday.

Q8. Do you have a hobby and what is it?

A8. I play guitar as well as I am into yoga. I also have my own business called Shnarped Hockey which is available in the iTunes store.

Q9. Favourite book you’ve read?

A9. Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig.

Q10. What is your favourite movie?

A10. Good Will Hunting and Legends Of The Fall.

I am a die hard Hamilton Bulldogs fan. I am also a big fan of the AHL in general. I am also a season ticket holder for the Hamilton Bulldogs and never I repeat never miss a home game.
